Why Microsuction?
Microsuction ear cleaning is performed using a microscope and a medical suction device to gently suck the ear wax out of your canal.
All patients are initially assessed for their general ear health. Your doctor then examines your ear using a microscope and safely removes the blockage using a low-pressure suction device.
Itβs important to remember that wax is not the only cause of a blocked feeling or reduced hearing. Other causes can include:
- Eustachian tube dysfunction
- Ear drum scarring
- Otosclerosis
- Sensorineural damage and others
After any wax is removed, if you still have a sensation of blockage in your ears, you may need diagnosis and treatment of these other conditions. Your consulting doctor can advise you on this.
Done under a microscope
The ear canal is observed throughout, so removal is precise and controlled.
No water, no mess
A dry technique β no syringing or flushing, and far more comfortable.
Assessed by a doctor
If it isnβt wax, your GP can diagnose and treat other causes too.
