Why Microsuction?

Microsuction ear cleaning is performed using a microscope and a medical suction device to gently suck the ear wax out of your canal.

All patients are initially assessed for their general ear health. Your doctor then examines your ear using a microscope and safely removes the blockage using a low-pressure suction device.

It’s important to remember that wax is not the only cause of a blocked feeling or reduced hearing. Other causes can include:

  • Eustachian tube dysfunction
  • Ear drum scarring
  • Otosclerosis
  • Sensorineural damage and others

After any wax is removed, if you still have a sensation of blockage in your ears, you may need diagnosis and treatment of these other conditions. Your consulting doctor can advise you on this.

Microsuction is accepted as the safest and most comfortable method of ear wax removal. The ear canal is observed throughout the process, making it an exceptionally safe procedure β€” and more comfortable than traditional water irrigation.

No water, no mess
